Top Dawg
Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
Short version: Top Dawg has no accounts and no ads, and doesn't track you. You pick a display name to play, and that's about it.
This policy covers the Top Dawg game at topdawggame.com, made by Dozer Studios LLC ("we", "us"). If you have questions, email tim@dozerstudios.com.
What you give us
- A display name (up to 24 characters) that other players in your room see. Please don't use your full real name or anything private.
- A room code, to join a friend's game.
- Your moves and character choice during a game.
There's no sign-up, and we never ask for your email, phone number, or any other contact details.
What we store, and for how long
- Game rooms (display names, seats, and the game in progress) are kept only in the game server's memory. They are not written to a database, and they are erased whenever the server restarts or is updated.
-
A player ID cookie (
td_player_id) holds a random ID so you can reconnect to your seat if your connection drops. It isn't linked to who you are, and it expires after 30 days. - Settings on your device. Your browser remembers the last display name you used and your board-layout preferences, so you don't have to set them again. These stay on your device. You can clear them by clearing your browser's site data.
Server logs
Like most websites, our servers keep basic technical logs: your IP address, the pages and game connections you requested (which can include a room code), and the time. We use them to keep the game running and to fix problems. Error logs record technical details about crashes, never your display name.
Services that handle your data
| Provider | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Railway | Hosts the game server | Your IP address and your game traffic |
| Cloudflare | Delivers the site and protects it from attacks | Your IP address and your requests |
| Google Fonts | Serves the fonts the game uses | Your IP address when your browser downloads the fonts |
That's the full list. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking tools, and we never sell or share your information.
Children
Top Dawg is meant for players 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has entered personal information as a display name, email us and we'll help.
Your choices
- Play with a nickname rather than your real name.
- Delete the cookie and saved settings at any time by clearing your browser's data for topdawggame.com.
- Email us with any privacy request, and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change how Top Dawg handles information, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
